Lamar Shopfitters collaborated with the talented architect team from Larry Weston Architect and Universal Store to introduce Perfect Stranger to Westfield Carousel in Perth. This exceptional project seamlessly combined architectural excellence and bespoke craftsmanship to create a truly unique and inviting retail space.
Perfect Stranger is a celebrated Australian fashion label that prides itself on effortless styling and elevated outfitting options. The store’s interior design reflects these values perfectly – offering customers an environment that feels as refined, elegant, and stylish as the brand itself.
The design team achieved a stunning visual balance through the thoughtful use of high-quality materials and innovative design elements. Travertine wall and floor tiles were chosen as a key feature, infusing the space with timeless elegance and a natural, earthy aesthetic. These tiles provide a luxurious foundation that is both functional and visually captivating.
Complementing the travertine is the use of solid stainless steel feature shelves. The sleek, polished finish of the shelves creates a striking contrast against the warm tones of the travertine, adding a modern and industrial edge to the space. Bespoke joinery throughout the store elevates the craftsmanship, showcasing intricate details and a custom design that reflects the label’s refined style.
The layout of the store was meticulously planned to ensure a natural flow and an inviting atmosphere. The incorporation of sheer curtains and tri-mirrors in the changeroom area enhances the feeling of openness, warmth, and comfort. These subtle touches ensure customers feel at ease while exploring the store and trying on outfits, making for an enjoyable shopping experience.
To further enhance the retail floor’s design, sisal carpet inserts were strategically integrated with the travertine tiles. This combination not only provides a tactile contrast but also offers subtle guidance for customers as they move throughout the space, ensuring a natural and intuitive flow.
The shopfront is an undeniable showstopper. Designed to maximise the mall’s ceiling height, it delivers a grand first impression. Stainless steel-clad pivot doors, rendered feature bulkheads, and a glass panel above the signage bulkhead combine to create a striking and sophisticated entrance that effortlessly captures attention. The careful attention to detail in the shopfront ensures that Perfect Stranger stands out as a premium destination within the shopping centre.
The ceiling design is yet another highlight of this exceptional fitout. Detailed coffer ceilings with lighting troughs add depth, character, and a sense of grandeur to the space. The layered lighting enhances the overall ambiance while showcasing the store’s unique architectural elements.
Through the innovative use of premium materials, bespoke design elements, and an open, flowing layout, Perfect Stranger at Carousel sets a new benchmark for fashion retail interiors.
